This elegant rose features a perfectly rounded, multi-petaled bloom with a delicate, fresh fragrance that offers a peaceful, comforting feel. Visually luxurious and favored by florists, it enhances both solo displays and flower arrangements with its simple yet elegant charm.
This is a highly sought after popular Japanese shrub rose, not always easy to find bought I’m so glad I was able to find one this year! The rose is beautiful being small to medium in size, the blooms are about 3inches when open, they are a lovely color of purple in its center and cool lavender on its outer petals - creating a ring around the central bloom. It does have a moderate to sometimes strong fragrance which is delightful. The rose is also quite disease resistant and I’ve had little to no issues with it in that sense. My only complaint is that despite how healthy it is it still lacks vigor, it is slow growing and doesn’t establish very quickly, this rose is also quite smaller than the average garden bush or shrub rose being only about 2 1/2 feet tall and 2 feet wide making it a great candidate for container gardening. I would recommend it just bear in mind it will take sometime to get established if you have the patience for it it’s definitely worth it!
I’ve had Jubilee Celebration for a long time, it is a beautiful and fragrant rose. The blooms are medium to large in size usually and are a wonderful color combination of varying shades of pink with yellow/cream on its petals undersides. The fruity/lemony fragrance is wonderful! The rose is quite bushy and blooms rather prolifically if being properly feed and cared for. The bush is also very disease resistant making it a low maintenance easy to care for rose. My only complaint is this roses blooms are a bit floppy for its thin stems, so often the blooms seem to be facing down - but this is easily solved if you pick them and put them in a vase. Highly recommended!
This is an older rose it’s been around for a while but it is still a beautiful addition to any rose garden! Bolero has a beautiful white/pink bloom that is medium in size. The fragrance is incredible! In my opinion the fragrance is a combination of rose, tropical fruits and spices - truly remarkable! Each bloom has over 100 small petals packed in making the blooms look very old fashioned and lovely. This is a rather small bushy rose, it only grows about 3 x 3 and is very well suited for pots and container gardening. It’s quite disease resistant but I do find it to be somewhat susceptible to rust in bad weather conditions. My only complaint is that it’s slow growing and rather slow to repeat bloom compared to more modern roses but it’s still worth while - recommended!
I’ve been growing Crown Princess M. For quite sometime now - it’s such a beautiful and healthy climbing rose which generously grows many long and flexible stems making it easy to train as desired. The blooms are about 3 1/2 inches to 4inches in size when in bloom and are a beautiful orange/apricot shade of color. It has a strong fruity fragrance and many petals when open, the color being deeper orange in its center and paler apricot/cream on the outside edges. I do find the weather to affect the color being deeper shades in cooler seasons and paler in hotter weather. In addition it’s also highly resistant to common rose diseases making it less challenging to grow - I’m not certain but I do believe David Austin is discontinuing this rose unfortunately, so if you want it you should grab it while you can! Thanks for continuing to provide this one High Garden I’m grateful for your great selection
I’ve been growing Koko-Loco for years and it’s such a beautiful and unique rose. Its brownish/beige color contrasts flawlessly with any other rose it’s placed next too. It’s quite a bushy and compact rose behaving very much like a floribunda in size and stature, well suited for pots and container gardening. The blooms start off brown in color eventually changing to more of a lavender color as the blooms age and begin to fall apart. In my experience this one is quite a heavy feeder and I have to give it a bit more than most of my other roses, not sure why that is but I’m happy with it and will give it whatever it wants as long as it continues to provide me with such wonderfully colored and shapely blooms, highly recommended!
