I was glad to find the Lilas rose on the Highgarden Roses website, since it is an uncommon variety. The rose is healthy and actually growing in a big pot, even in the cold weather. I will be ordering from Highgarden Roses again.
So when I first saw this rose being offered online I could scarcely believe it was real, I’ve seen a few other vendors selling it through other avenues but none of them were offering them own-root and fortunately High Garden Roses does. The rose was a bit slow to get going but the new growth starts out a vibrant red later maturing to a deep glossy green. The flowers themselves are absolutely lovely and are a fascinating blend of coral, orange and pink - very old fashioned styled blooms & a good size, there is a subtle yet delight fragrance. I haven’t had this rose very long and it did take its time to get going but the summer heatwave’s we’ve had here along the coast didn’t effect it at all, if anything it’s been growing even better now. I can not overstate the beauty of this rose - don’t just take my word for it a huge CA grower of both rose bushes and cut flowers called Grace Rose Farm mentions on her website as well that she believes this to be the most gorgeous rose they have. Try it for yourself - I like it so much I’m thinking of getting another one.
Rose arrived well packaged. I’ve planted it and it’s already hot new growth
