    Healthy and Happy!

As a new customer, I cannot say enough positive things about my experience ordering from Highgarden Roses! First off, Evelyn has been an absolute delight to do business with... she is very personable, accommodating, and kind! You can tell that Evelyn loves what she does, and anyone who loves roses will be so happy to have found a kindred spirit. I requested a delayed shipment, and the sweet little rose bush start arrived at the perfect time and in excellent, robust condition as well as well-wrapped and packed. I especially appreciated the very detailed planting instructions enclosed, along with the (and most importantly) *realistic expectations* to have for the first three years of growth.👍I'd never heard of 'sleep/creep/leap'! It will take some patience, but I feel sure this little rose bush will be well worth the wait! 😊
I definitely recommend this business, and give it FIVE ENTHUSIASTIC STARS!
    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Jubilee Celebration! Beautiful & Fragrant

I’ve had Jubilee Celebration for a long time, it is a beautiful and fragrant rose. The blooms are medium to large in size usually and are a wonderful color combination of varying shades of pink with yellow/cream on its petals undersides. The fruity/lemony fragrance is wonderful! The rose is quite bushy and blooms rather prolifically if being properly feed and cared for. The bush is also very disease resistant making it a low maintenance easy to care for rose. My only complaint is this roses blooms are a bit floppy for its thin stems, so often the blooms seem to be facing down - but this is easily solved if you pick them and put them in a vase. Highly recommended!

    Hi James,

Thank you for your wonderful review! We are glad to hear that you have been enjoying the beauty and fragrance of our rose. We appreciate your feedback and are happy to know that it has been thriving with proper care. We understand your concern about the blooms facing downwards, but we are glad to hear that it can easily be solved. Thank you for recommending our product. Happy gardening!

    Wonderful condition

The two AUShunter roses that I ordered were delivered two weeks ago and were in wonderful condition, well branched and well rooted. They are potted now and doing very well. This is my favorite Austin rose; the color is unlike any other pink rose I’ve ever seen. I am delighted with their condition and very pleased that they are on their roots.

    Hi Tricia,

We're so happy to hear you're delighted with your AUShunter roses! Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience. Enjoy your beautiful garden!

High Garden roses never disappoints. The first time you order from an online nursery, you really do not know if you are going to receive the correct plants, if they will be healthy, sometimes even if they will be alive. Having had that happen already I was hesitant and I’m so glad I took a chance. The first rose, I received from them was larger than expected well left out strong root system, and no sign of disease. I waited to write a review to see if it would make it through the winter and it has. When I have had to contact them, the Customer Service is swift, and very nice. Just got my springtime order and the five plants I received are better than I could’ve hoped. This is a company you can trust

Scam website. Never received anything from them!

I placed an order for the Aushunter Rose on the 10th but never received anything. So I contacted them about it but never heard back from them. Also, most of these roses are sold through illegal propagation, so they don’t list their actual addresses on here unlike other well known nurseries out there.

    Dear Cindy,

We understand your concerns and want to assure you that we operate with full integrity and transparency. Your order for the Aushunter Rose was placed on March 10 and successfully delivered on March 26, as confirmed by tracking number 9400136208326311314731, to the correct shipping address provided at checkout.

Additionally, we want to assure you that all the roses we sell are propagated legally. The variety in question is no longer under patent protection, meaning its propagation and sale fully comply with legal standards.

Regarding your attempt to contact us, we regret that you did not receive a response as quickly as you had hoped. However, given more time, we would have been happy to work with you to resolve the matter, including arranging for a replacement if necessary. Customer satisfaction is a priority for us, and we always strive to provide prompt and professional service.

    Warm regards,
    Argel

    Not a single one survived

I bought 4 roses from High Garden Roses and of the 50 I’ve bought from various places, these 4 were the only ones that died.

    Hi Hena,

We sincerely regret any disappointment you have experienced. For your information, we have a warranty program to address instances where a plant may become non-viable due to the stresses of transit. We kindly ask that you reach out to us with a photo of the rose so we can properly assess the situation and provide a replacement credit if applicable. Please do not hesitate to contact us, we are more than happy to assist you.

    Warm regards,
    Argel

    Very healthy!!

I preordered my first rose from Highgarden back in May and was apprehensive about waiting months to get it. But once it got closer to its arrival time I contacted her to ask when it going to be sent out as I would be in and out of town over the next few weeks. Within a day she returned my email and we coordinated a shipping date. I received my rose right on time in perfect health. It already had its first bloom starting!! Can’t wait to order more!!

    Hi Annie,

It’s great to hear that the coordination for shipping worked out smoothly, and that your rose was already starting to bloom! FAQs

    Where do you ship to?

    How much does shipping cost?

We offer free standard USPS Ground Advantage shipping for orders over $150.

For orders less than $150, a flat fee of $15 will be applied.

How soon will I receive my order?

    Processing time

    • In-stock: typically ship within 10 business days.
    • Pre-order: usually require an additional 6–10 weeks before shipment.

    Combined shipments
If your order includes both in-stock and pre-order items, they will be shipped together once all items are ready. Requesting separate shipments may result in additional shipping fees.

    Estimated transit times (after dispatch)

    • USPS Ground Advantage: 3–5 business days
    • USPS Priority Mail: 2–3 business days
    • UPS 3 Day Select: 3 business days

Please note: Delivery timeframes are estimates only. While we make every effort to dispatch orders promptly, we are unable to guarantee exact delivery dates due to potential carrier delays or adjustments needed to ensure plant health. Certain roses may require additional time to reach optimal shipping condition, particularly during seasonal transitions.

In rare instances, shipments may be temporarily held due to extreme weather to protect plant quality.

    Can you postpone shipment?

If your weather is not suitable for planting, you can choose to delay shipment for up to 12 months at no cost.

Please choose a date on the bottom of the shopping cart before checkout to indicate your preferred ship month.

Are your roses own-root or grafted?

Over 95% of our roses are own-root, propagated from cuttings.

Occasionally we may offer a grafted version for newer varieties. They are specified in the product description.

Are your roses potted or bare root?

You will receive a healthy rose bush. The roots will be protected by plastic wrap.

We may defoliate and prune the stems prior to shipping. As a result, your rose bush may not come with leaves or flower buds. It will form new shoots and buds once planted in soil.

In winter months, we may elect to ship your rose with little or no soil as they are dormant.

What is the difference between S, M, and L?

We offer multiple sizes of rose bushes:

S: Your rose is 4-6 months old, grown in 4" pots.

M: Your rose is 1 year old, grown in 6" pots.

L: Your rose is 1.5-2 years old, grown in 8"-10" pots.

Individual sizes may vary depending on the variety of the rose.

What are the differences between florist and garden roses?

Florist roses are typically bred for cut-flower use — they have long, straight stems, large symmetrical blooms, and a longer vase life, making them ideal for bouquets and arrangements. Garden roses, on the other hand, are grown for planting outdoors — they offer a wider variety of shapes, colors, and fragrances, often with more petals and a softer, more natural look, but they usually have shorter stems and a shorter vase life compared to florist roses.

    What is your return policy?

Due to the nature of live plants, we currently do not accept returns.

If your rose fails to survive within the first 100 days, we'll make it right with a replacement store credit equal to the purchase price.

To qualify, the rose must show clear signs of failure to survive (e.g., brown, brittle canes, or no living green tissue). Seasonal changes such as leaf drop, temporary transplant shock, or winter dormancy are not covered, as these are part of a rose's natural growth cycle.

Please report any concerns within 100 days by emailing us with your order number and photos with the name tag. We will issue store credit equal to the replacement cost of the rose, excluding taxes and shipping. Store credit can be used on any future purchases, excluding gift cards, and does not expire.

Replacement coverage is limited to one replacement claim per order. Once a replacement store credit has been issued for an order, no additional replacement claims or credits will be provided for that same order.

Do you sell roses year round?

All of our roses are grown outdoors in Portland, Oregon.

We ship all 12 months of the year.

Roses can be planted at any time except during extreme heat or cold.

You can order your rose anytime and choose to delay shipment for up to 12 months.

Our roses are shipped semi-dormant in November, dormant from December to February, semi-dormant in early March, and non-dormant for the rest of the year.

    Do you offer in-person pickup?

Unfortunately we do not offer in-person pickup at this time.

    Are you a licensed nursery?

Yes we are a licensed nursery registered with the Oregon Department of Agriculture.

Are you affiliated with rose breeders or third party growers?

All roses on this website are grown by Highgarden Roses.

The names of roses and breeders mentioned on our website are used solely for comparison purposes.

Highgarden Roses does not own the trademarks for these rose names, nor are we affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by any third-party companies, breeders, or growers.

I sent a message but haven’t received a response. What should I do?

Please allow 1–2 business days for a response. In the meantime, check your spam/ junk folder and make sure your inbox isn’t full. If you still don’t hear from us after 2 business days, please resend your message or email us from another address.

Why does my rose look smaller than expected?

Our roses are own-root (not grafted). Grafted roses can look bigger faster because they’re grown on a vigorous rootstock, while own-root roses often start smaller as they establish. The upside is long-term: an own-root rose grows from its own variety from roots to canes, can be more resilient if it’s cut back or stressed, and you won’t get unwanted rootstock shoots. We also offer multiple sizes - our Small size is band-size, which is naturally petite by design.

For safe shipping and stronger growth, we may prune canes and reduce top growth before sending. Pruning helps the plant focus energy on rooting, and it also encourages new breaks and branching, which leads to a fuller plant over time. With proper planting and care, your rose will settle in, push fresh growth, and size up.

How often do you restock your roses?

We restock our roses every week. New plants are added regularly depending on availability and season. You can also sign up for a “Back in Stock” alert on the product page. Just make sure to choose the exact size you want so you’ll be notified when it’s available again.
