I was so happy to finally find Schöne Maid after searching for so long! She arrived healthy and in great condition. My experience with Highgarden Roses was so fantastic that I immediately ordered six more roses—yes, six more! Forever a loyal customer of Highgarden and their spectacular roses.
AUStijus arrived with a massive root ball, and I can already tell it’s going to grow into something spectacular once the weather warms up! The plant is strong and healthy, and I can’t wait to see those gorgeous peony-like blooms. This rose is the perfect addition to my garden!
Yuzen arrived in excellent condition with several strong, green canes and was even bigger than I expected! I had to get a larger pot just to accommodate its size. I like to pot my roses temporarily to evaluate them before planting them in a permanent spot, and this one is already off to a great start. I’m especially excited to see its uniquely shaped blooms—definitely a standout addition to my garden!
I was blown away by the size of the Auswill rose when it arrived! It had a massive root ball and six thick, healthy canes, ready to take off once spring arrives. While it didn’t have leaves yet, the overall health and vigor of the plant are impressive. I have no doubt this rose will be huge and absolutely stunning once it starts growing. Extremely happy with this purchase!
The rose bush was much smaller than I anticipated. I usually order direct from David Austin as their roses never disappoint. Unfortunately, this particular rose was out of stock. DA roses are much larger and $35.00. Imagine my disappointment when comparing the cost. I won’t make this mistake again. In my opinion, your roses are way overpriced.
Hi Landon,
Thank you for your feedback. We understand that pricing and plant size are important considerations when purchasing roses.
The $35 roses from David Austin are grafted, which allows them to grow larger more quickly. However, grafted roses can develop suckers from the rootstock and may have a shorter lifespan compared to own-root roses. Our roses are grown on their own roots, which means they live longer, do not produce rootstock suckers, and tend to be hardier in the long run.
For comparison, David Austin also sells own-root roses for $50 plus $14.95 shipping, and their own-root roses come in 2-quart containers, which are smaller than our Medium size roses. Our pricing reflects the value of own-root roses for those who prefer their longevity and reliability.
We appreciate your perspective and hope this helps clarify the benefits of own-root roses. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, we are happy to provide a free return. Please reach out to us, and we’ll be glad to assist you.
Sincerely,
Evelyn
