Another large beautiful fragrant rose!

I bought this rose on a whim after seeing it and looking up images online of it I was so impressed with the size of its blooms, I was a little reluctant to be getting yet another pink rose for my collection because there are so many but this one is special indeed! When this rose arrived it was kind-of small but within only 5 months of planting it she has easily quadrupled in size! This rose is VIGOROUSLY growing and out competing ALL my other newcomers this year and I’ve trialed over (50) new varieties this year so far - it’s growing so fast I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it, the blooms are large, wonderfully colored of a purplish/pink on the upper sides and an almost silvery reverse on the undersides. It smells HEAVENLY and very strong, I’d say the fragrance itself is a combination of Classic old rose, Raspberries with a dash of Lemon, Delicious! It is quite disease resistant as well and I’ve had very few issues with it being able to fend for itself especially in my horrible disease prone climate so that’s wonderful! The blooms do seem to last quite a while in a vase as well between 5 - 7 days in bloom before collapsing but that may improve as the rose establishes itself. Again however my only complaint about it is it’s so floppy and gangly growing, the blooms do seem to want and flop over every-time it flowers, but this can be easily remedied by staking it, or training it upwards like a small climber otherwise you’ll have to just give it the room it wants. Hopefully the structure and sturdiness of the bush will improve with time and I have high hopes it will! Another very happy purchase from High Garden and I’m so grateful for their selection
