Rcvd a tiny rose with stems dried out, growing on anstalk. Tried to save it but it died immediately. Contacted company and they gave me a $40 credit to replace. They did not have anymore left of the rose I ordered so I ordered a different variety. It cost me $30 to get another one, and didn’t even want another one. The second rose in that order was larger and very healthy though. Anyway, they say they have a 10 business day window to ship your rose. I purchased the replacement rose on 2/17, but they did not charge my card until 4 days later, so they gave themselves 4 more days. The 10 day window is not true.
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your experience. We’d like to take a moment to clarify a few points.
You originally ordered two roses: a Small AUSvelvet and a Small/Medium AUSromeo. The AUSvelvet was a small size, which is why it was tiny. If you prefer a larger plant, we always recommend selecting a larger size.
When your AUSvelvet did not survive, we provided a $40 credit, which is the price of a replacement small rose. You had the option to order another small rose but chose to upgrade to a medium size instead, which is why there was an additional $30 charge.
Regarding shipping, your original order was placed on January 18th, and it shipped on January 29th—which only took 6 business days and is within our promised 10 business day window.
Since you mentioned that you did not want the replacement rose, we have refunded you for AUSvelvet and canceled and refunded your replacement order. We hope this resolves the issue, and we appreciate your time.
Sincerely,
Evelyn
Highgarden Roses
Roses arrived as well rooted cuttings and are doing well.
I ordered 2 roses from Highgarden. Communication was good and plants arrived safely. The spirit of freedom seems to be doing well, but the Jude Obscure has 2 branches that soon turned black and I’m not sure if it’ll survive.
I planted right after I got the plant, im carefully tried to keep all the soil from the original package to avoid damage to the root. After 1 month, it didn't have any new shoot, 1 side of the plant has died. I had to pull the plant up and saw the root was small and packed in very hard soil, which made the root couldn't develop. I was trying to wash the soil out and watering it with super thrive. I hope it will survive. Both 2 plants I bought had the same issue. Very disappointing when what I got wasn't worth with what I paid for.
Once again, I had a five-star experience with my second purchase. The delivery was timely, and the Golden Vuvuzela plant arrived in excellent condition—both in size and health. However, the second rose plant, Wutong Yue, was significantly smaller than expected, lacked visible feeder roots, and showed signs of rot at the base (it has since died).
Despite this setback, I am still giving them five stars because the moment I contacted their customer service, I received an immediate reply along with a refund code for a future purchase to cover the cost of the damaged plant. Their response was prompt, professional, and reflected the good old American values of integrity and customer care.
I am truly impressed and will continue to purchase from them without any hesitation.
