Beautiful and healthy rose!

A beautiful and unique rose! I bought this because of the amazing color this rose seems to offer during the seasons - the color seems to be highly effected by the weather conditions, sometimes being a brilliant bright red/mauve to a near black purple with a bright yellow stamen in its center. I find its fragrance to be somewhat elusive at least to me - hoping that will remedy its-self with time as it grows. It is a bushy rose and seems well suited for container growing. Looking forward to how it grows in the future

Hi James,

Thank you for your kind words about our rose. We are so happy to hear that you are enjoying its unique and beautiful color. We agree that its color can be affected by weather conditions, making it even more special. We hope that with time, you will also be able to experience its elusive fragrance. It's great to hear that it is doing well in a container and we are excited to see how it grows for you in the future. Thank you for choosing our product and happy gardening!

Best regards,
Argel

As always been satisfied with my purchase

I received very large Royale with strong root system. I have been returning customers since they were selling on Etsy. It is not and accident, it was a fate. I have never had to deal with difficult situations with this seller since day one. CS has been easy to talk to. After service is excellent. And I don’t think I have been treated better than everyone. My orders too ran into missing packages, missed label or died, I always get it covered by the shop. When that mistake happened, I reached out and my problems get resolved. That’s all I need. Love buying rose for her. Highly recommended Highgarden for roses.

FAQs

Where do you ship to?

We ship to all 50 states within the US from our licensed nursery in Portland, Oregon.

Due to restrictions on plant export, we do not ship outside of the US at this time.

How much does shipping cost?

We offer free standard USPS Ground Advantage shipping for orders over $100.

For orders less than $100, a flat fee of $10 will be applied.

How soon will I receive my order?

In-stock roses are typically shipped within 10 business days. Out-of-stock varieties may be available as pre-orders with an additional 6–10 week wait time.

Kindly note that in-stock and pre-order items in the same order will be shipped together. Splitting orders may incur additional shipping fees.

Once shipped, transit time is typically:
• USPS Ground Advantage (3-5 business days)
• USPS Priority Mail (2-3 business days)
• UPS 3 Day Select (3 business days)

Please note that actual delivery times may vary. While we always aim to ship promptly, we cannot guarantee exact delivery dates due to occasional USPS delays or unforeseen changes in plant readiness. Some roses may require additional time to reach optimal health for shipping, especially during seasonal transitions.

In rare cases, we may also delay shipment due to extreme weather conditions to protect the health of your plants.

Can you postpone shipment?

If your weather is not suitable for planting, you may choose to delay shipment for up to 12 months at no additional cost.

Please leave a note on the bottom of the shopping cart to indicate your preferred ship month.

Are your roses own-root or grafted?

Over 95% of our roses are own-root, propagated from cuttings.

Occasionally we may offer a grafted version for newer varieties. They are specified in the product description.

Are your roses potted or bare root?

You will receive a healthy rose bush. The roots will be protected by plastic wrap.

We will defoliate and prune the stems prior to shipping. As a result, your rose bush will not come with leaves or flower buds. It will form new shoots and buds once planted in soil.

In winter months, we may elect to ship your rose with little or no soil as they are dormant.

What is the difference between S, M, and L?

We offer multiple sizes of rose bushes:

S: Your rose is 4-6 months old, grown in 4" pots.

M: Your rose is 1 year old, grown in 6" pots.

L: Your rose is 1.5-2 years old, grown in 8"-10" pots.

Individual sizes may vary depending on the variety of the rose.

What are the differences between florist and garden roses?

Florist roses are typically bred for cut-flower use — they have long, straight stems, large symmetrical blooms, and a longer vase life, making them ideal for bouquets and arrangements. Garden roses, on the other hand, are grown for planting outdoors — they offer a wider variety of shapes, colors, and fragrances, often with more petals and a softer, more natural look, but they usually have shorter stems and a shorter vase life compared to florist roses.

What is your return policy?

At Highgarden Roses, we stand behind the quality of our plants. If your rose fails to survive within the first 30 days, we’ll make it right with a replacement store credit equal to the purchase price.

To qualify, the rose must show clear signs of failure to survive (e.g., brown, brittle canes, no living green tissue). Seasonal changes such as leaf drop, temporary transplant shock, or winter dormancy are not covered, as these are part of a rose’s natural growth cycle.

Please report any concerns within 30 days by emailing us with your order number and photos.

We will issue store credit equal to the replacement cost of the rose, excluding taxes and shipping. Store credit can be used on any future purchases, excluding gift cards. Replacement credits do not expire.
